Specialist Charity Qualifications

Diploma in Charity Accounting – DChA

The DChA qualification is awarded by the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) to those who can demonstrate a high level of competence in charity accounting and financial management. The qualification recognised commitment to the charity sector specialism and acknowledges expertise at the highest level.

With over 160,000 registered charities in England and Wales, competition for funds is only ever increasing. Pressure on the not for profit sector by the authorities as well as the public has grown and in response to the challenges faced, having a specialist accountant with the recognised DChA qualification means you will be amongst experts with the skills and knowledge to be able to make a key difference to your organisation.

With the requirements to complete numerous examinations, assessments and continuous practice development, once achieved it is widely recognised as ‘leading the field’ and is held by those at the very top of their profession. With specialist understanding of charity accounting and finance they can truly make an effective contribution within this sector and help your organisation truly make a difference.

At Plummer Parsons we currently have four members of our charity team that have been awarded this highly prestigious qualification.

  • Nick Brown, Partner
  • Steve Smith, Client Manager
  • Gemma Stace
  • Ali Towler
