Job Vacancy: Payroll Assistant

At Plummer Parsons Chartered Accountants, we have a long established payroll bureau and are currently looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Assistant to join the team at our Eastbourne office.

For this role you will need to be well-organised and client-focussed, with great communication skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have good time management skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach.

The work consists of the completion of payrolls in a timely manner for a variety of businesses, ranging from small businesses to corporate and Not-for-profit organisations:

  • accurately processing weekly, fortnightly, monthly and annual payruns
  • dealing with auto-enrolment, pension calculations and payments
  • regular liaison with clients via telephone, email and portal correspondence
  • assisting more senior members of staff with day-to-day duties and some administration tasks.

The position is full-time. Where requested, alternative working patterns would be considered, such as job sharing. Salary for this position will be dependent on qualifications and experience. You will receive ongoing training and support as required.
