Quickbooks 2010
The are some bug issues with this software at the moment. For clients that want to use multi-currency and accounts for VAT then you will not be able to run the file VAT routine at the end of the quarter.
There is a work around if you ensure that no invoices are posted in quarters already filed then you should hopefully be able to retrospectively file the returns on QuickBooks. However, you need to remember that if you are not filing the data then the VAT 100 will total all previous un filed periods.
It appears that using VAT without multi-currency works fine.
Plummer Parsons have logged a bug notice with Intuit. Earliest date for an update would apparently be the end of June or July.
Therefore if you are considering upgrading your software particularly for Multi Currency we would suggest you hold off for now.
We will be informed when a fix is ready and then if you are interested we will let you know.
