Access

Access software logo

Access have been providing accounting software for many years and have invested heavily in their flagship product in recent times.  The software is aimed at the higher end of the market as it has an SQL database engine to store the standing and transactional data which is capable of handling large quantities of data securely.  This also allows the product to integrate seamlessly with other SQL based software and share data with, for instance, CRM software eliminating unnecessary duplication of work.

For these reasons Access has been the software of choice for Plummer Parsons' own accounting system.  The software has been customised to integrate seamlessly with our main practice management software.  This has eliminated the need to maintain two separate databases for accounting and CRM purposes as the two products share data on a real time basis.

Access is a modular product meaning that you can purchase only the parts of the software that you need.  This allows the software to grow with your business as modules can be added moving forward to expand the functions available.  One recent addition to the Access suite is a module called ‘Accounting for carbon emissions.’  This helps to monitor the carbon footprint of your business, measuring the impact your business is having on the environment.  The reporting arm of Access is based around Crystal Reports which is a well known and widely used product.

Within Plummer Parsons we have expertise in the use of Access with staff having a working knowledge of the software.
